Based on multi-layer ceramic sensing technology, the resistance PM sensor is composed of two comb like cross electrodes (the initial resistance of the electrode is infinite), a heater and a temperature measuring element. The two cross electrodes collect carbon smoke from the tail gas. According to different soot accumulation, the resistance value between electrodes is also different. When the resistance reaches a certain threshold, the heating element of the sensor starts to work and burn the deposited particles. Therefore, by mastering the change relationship between soot concentration and sensor resistance, the detection of soot concentration in exhaust can be realized.
